This work is an evolution, a search for self-expression and unpredictable development. Using contaminated soil mixed with analogue chemicals, these images were captured on analogue film. The lack of control transformed the photographic process and created a new perspective on my work. A distance was created between me as a photographer and the result. The images emerged spontaneously, outside my direct sphere of influence. I was an observer during the development process, having no control over colour, composition or lighting. This brought a unique dynamic and unexpected beauty.
